The Volvo XC90 vs. the Audi Q8

The new Volvo XC90 is a three-row SUV that seats up to seven people, while the new Audi Q8 is a two-row SUV that seats only five. You can hold more passengers in the XC90, so its better for large families or group outings.

The Volvo XC90 comes standard with a hands-free liftgate. The Q8 offers an optional hands-free tailgate, but you'll have to pay more for a higher trim to get it.

The Volvo XC90 has more comfortable seating. It comes standard with 10-way power-adjustable seats. The Q8's seats are only 8-way power-adjustable.

Both the Audi Q8 and the Volvo XC90 have numerous standard safety features, but the XC90 has more. The XC90 comes with adaptive cruise control, following distance indicator, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and road departure mitigation. None of those features come standard on the Q8.
